  • In major cities like Medel­lín, Bogo­tá, Car­ta­ge­na, etc., the safe­ty is simi­lar to that of other South Ame­ri­can metropolises.

  • The pri­ce level and cos­ts in Colom­bia are lower than in Euro­pe or the US. 
  • In par­ti­cu­lar, local restau­rants can be very reason­ab­ly priced. 
  • If you do it right, you can spend a com­pa­ra­tively cheap vaca­ti­on in Colom­bia. Howe­ver, the pri­ces are signi­fi­cant­ly hig­her than in Asia. 
  • A mid-ran­ge bud­get is 50 — 90 € per day.

  • Con­sult a tra­vel medi­ci­ne spe­cia­list: parts of Colom­bia are mala­ria are­as, the Zika virus and den­gue fever are also wide­spread, and a yel­low fever vac­ci­na­ti­on may also make sense.
